Spanish for "of the sea," Del Mar is an upscale beach town in San Diego County with a population of less than 5,000.  This small, elite beachside community is geographically less than two square miles. With warm dry summers and milder winters, Del Mar offers an enviable climate. It rarely gets above 85 degrees Fahrenheit and rarely below 55 degrees. Home to Torrey Pines State Beach with steep hiking trails that lead down to sandy shores, and the famous Del Mar Race Track/Fairgrounds.
